In 2022, ICDVRAT will be held in the beautiful island of São Miguel, Portugal, between 6 & 8 September.

A selection of best abstracts will be submitted to Virtual Reality Journal (IF=5.095) special issue on New Trends on Immersive Healthcare:

We specifically welcome papers that contain original and mature research to address applications of Virtual Reality and associated technologies, such as Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality, within the healthcare context, ranging from, but not limited to, assessment and intervention to education and training. A special focus is made to the adaptiveness of digital solutions to participants profile and to contextual settings. The guest editors [for Virtual Reality Journal special issue] encourage the submission of rigorous studies backed by data and data analytics, that discuss the advance of these technologies on conditions such as affective disorders, acquired cognitive deficits, intellectual disabilities, visual impairments, and motor disabilities. High-end options, such as AI, Machine Learning, Affective Computing and Synthetic Agents that are used alongside with VR and associated technologies are expected to be major themes.

Note: All authors are required to submit a 2 pages abstract (abstract – introduction – methods – results – discussion – references). All accepted abstracts will be published in the Book of Abstracts.

Papers accepted for the conference require the registration of at least one of the authors as a Full Delegate or Full Student Delegate to the conference.

March 31, 2022 – Call for ‘2 pages’ Abstracts closes.

April 30, 2022 – Notification Acceptance/Rejection of Abstract.

May 31, 2022 – Revised Abstracts Submission.

May 02, 2022 – Early Registration – 400€, 380€ (International Society for Virtual Rehabilitation (ISVR) member), 250€ (student), 200€ (ISVR member student).

May 31, 2022 – Regular Registration – 450€, 430€ (ISVR member), 300€ (student), 250€ (ISVR member student).

Registration for authors closes on June 15, 2022.

June 30, 2022 – Submission of selected abstracts to Virtual Reality Journal special issue on New Trends on Immersive Healthcare .

September 07, 2022 – Social dinner – TBA
