Call for Papers

AR4W: The 1st Workshop on “Affective Robotics For Wellbeing”
Co-located with ACII 2022, 10th International Conference on Affective Computing & Intelligent Interaction
October 17th, 2022 (tentative)
Nara, Japan
Workshop: https://sites.google.com/rosielab.ca/ar4w2022/
ACII 2022: https://acii-conf.net/2022/

Paper submission deadline: June 30, 2022

We kindly invite you to participate and submit your paper contributions to the ACII 2022 workshop “AR4W: Affective Robotics For Wellbeing”, to be held in October 17th, 2022 in Nara, Japan.

The main topic of our workshop will be affective robotics for well-being, which aligns strongly with the ACII 2022 main theme of affective computing for mental and physical well-being that invites research work that “utilises Affective Computing to address the negative consequences on mental and physical well-being brought about by the current challenging circumstances”.

The main objective of this workshop is to bring together a multidisciplinary group of researchers to identify and address key challenges for studying affective robotics for well-being and its relevant applications in the lab and in the field. The workshop aims at:

i) including the advances in affective computing and machine learning into social robotics context;
ii) investigating the crucial topic of well-being in clinical and non-clinical contexts during a post-pandemic era; and
iii) advancing the field of affective computing applied to social robotics focusing on open challenges.

We invite authors to submit their contributions either as regular paper (6-8 pages long) or position papers (2-4 pages long), using the format provided by ACII (https://acii-conf.net/2022/calls/).

The full Call for Papers, including instructions for the submissions, can be found on EasyChair (https://easychair.org/cfp/ar4w2022).
