JOB: Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Game Studies at Södertörn University, Stockholm, Sweden

This is a permanent position at the School of Communication, Media and IT at Södertörn University, Stockholm (http://www.sh.se/)

Our Game Studies activities include:

• research around game design concepts and methods in a research project funded by “Östersjöstiftelsen” (http://www.ostersjostiftelsen.se/). Further research initiatives, by the new game studies senior lecturer are encouraged and appriciated.
• short courses in game developement and game worlds
• planning of a candidate (Bachelor) program in game design and game studies that will start in August 2011.
• a game lab/studio, in which game design workshops can be held, games can be studied as well as empirical studies of console gaming and LAN gaming performed.
• developement of a game library in collaboration with the campus library.
