Submission deadline: March 31st, 2020

Creative Research (also called Art Research) is a research area that has been expanding in the past few decades. However, it’s not always easy to clarify what this concept encompasses, because creative research approaches are very diverse. It is also sometimes difficult to have research in that field recognized by institutions. This is the reason why we decided to dedicate a special issue of the journal p-e-r-f-o-r-m-a-n-c-e to that topic. We welcome any academic, artistic, or hybrid contribution that will shine some light on this concept of creative research. Contributions should be sent as a word document (with links to audio and/or video files if any) to editor@p-e-r-f-o-r-m-a-n-c-e.org no later than March 31st, 2020.

p-e-r-f-o-r-m-a-n-c-e is a double-blind peer reviewed, online journal.

The journal publishes scholarly essays, multimedia artists’ presentations, and book, performance, and film reviews. Each issue focuses on a specific theme, exploring performance in its various aspects, but contributions outside the theme are also possible.

Submissions are understood to be original, unpublished, and should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Scholarly essays are 3,000 to 6,000 words, including abstract, keywords, endnotes, bibliography, and bios. The other contributions are free in form.

The journal can be read at p-e-r-f-o-r-m-a-n-c-e.org
